PSEUDOSYNTHESIS 1976
One of Elliott's most famous 'Symphonies For The Camera', this image has been massively influential across all kinds of culture. There was good photography before Elliott, but nothing much you could really call great art. These early masterpieces from the young Artist did much to change all that. They brought a transformative level of creativity to the medium of photography and were catalytic in elevating the medium to fine art status. The picture is limited to 5 originals. 'Pseudosynthesis' along with 'Metasphere' together rank as the most iconic photographs of the Seventies, simply because they changed everything. They also predict and predate the computer imagery of future decades. Elliott created everything in the image himself, as indeed he always does.
